Job summary

Progressive Rehab Solutions is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist a Physical Therapist in delivering therapy services in long-term care and related settings. You will help improve mobility, balance, and functional independence through targeted treatment plans and patient education.

Responsibilities include implementing therapy sessions, documenting progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• One year of experience in rehabilitation or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist for individual or group therapy.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and endurance.
• Provide gait training, transfer training, and therapeutic exercises.
• Assist patients with assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and safety techniques.
• Communicate patient progress to supervising Physical Therapist and collaborate on care plans.
