Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking an Early Literacy Tutor (Part-Time) to support Norton, MA students. In-person sessions apply our curriculum to improve reading, writing, and math skills, with focus on mentorship and progress tracking.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher; teaching experience is preferred. You’ll collaborate with schools and families to maximize student outcomes, with flexible hours and a compensation of $35–$36 per hour.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or 48 semester hours/72 quarter hours.
• Licensed tutors: MA-licensed teacher per MA requirements.
• FBI/BCI background check required.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for records and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate and conference with parents on student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods.
• Attend trainings and implement designated instructional models and strategies for reading, mathematics, and writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students, escorting to/from sessions.
• Establish and maintain student forms/files per regulations.
• Attend meetings with supervisors/teachers/parents; document proceedings.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials/supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
