Job summary

Northshore School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraeducator for the ATP/ATI adult transition program in Bothell, WA. You will work under a certificated teacher to support instruction, behavior development, and life skills for students aged 18-21, with duties spanning classroom and community settings.

The ideal candidate will have the requisite education, CPI training, and a willingness to participate in IEP-driven team planning and student supports.

Qualifications

• Education requirement per ESSA: associate degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits, or High School with ParaPro score 455+.
• CPI training required; training provided on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with learning, behavior, social skills, daily living and physical development.
• Provide tutoring, organization support, test proctoring, and adapt lessons under teacher guidance.
• Lead small groups, prepare instructional materials, track progress and report to teachers.
• Assist with student behavior management and safety; assist with medical/self-care tasks as trained.
• Support students with transportation and assist in community/work site settings as needed.

Education

Associate degree or higher (72 quarter/48 semester credits)
