Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification requirements: valid TASN (NCLB) paraprofessional license or equivalent.
• Ability to work with students with various disabilities and follow IEPs.
• CPR training is highly desirable and may be required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Physical ability to assist with lifting up to 50 pounds and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education teachers in reinforcing learning for students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and personal hygiene support as needed.
• Assist with positioning tools, wheelchairs, and other classroom aids.
• Record student behavior and accompany students on field trips.
• Assist with feeding and daily living skills; support class activities as directed.
