Job summary

Integrated Resource Institute is seeking an Employment Coach to mentor individuals with developmental disabilities and provide job development and site support in the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles County area. Starting rate is $24.00/hour with mileage and cell phone reimbursement, plus bonuses for job placements.

You will help with resume building, practice interviews, transportation, and accessing community resources while maintaining strong relationships with employers and the circle of

Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities preferred.
• Strong organization, communication and writing skills.
• Proficient with computers and online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Understands and practices IRI’s mission and embraces person-centered values.
• Demonstrates respectful and dignified interaction and communication with IRI persons served and stakeholders.
• Assumes competence and builds esteem in all interactions with IRI people served.
• Implement a normalized community integrated employment focused service.
• Develop integrated work schedules.
• Find integrated work settings and develop competitive employment placement.
• Provide encouragement for meaningful employment related activities to the person served.
• Conduct task analysis and demonstrate data-based training decisions.
• All other duties as assigned by the Support Manager, Director of Services, and CEO.
