Job summary

Integrated Resource Institute is seeking an Employment Coach for Foothill Ranch/Irvine on Sundays, from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM, part-time in Southern California.

You will mentor individuals with developmental disabilities, support job development, and help participants secure competitive employment in the South Orange County area. The role includes travel up to 25% and a starting rate of $24 per hour plus mileage reimbursement and placement bonuses.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
• Job development and on-the-job support experience preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities preferably in community integrated settings (plus any additional experience).
• Strong organization, communication and writing skills. Must be proficient in the use of computers and online platforms as some services are provided remotely.
• Positive behavior support training experience preferred.
• Commitment to full inclusion of all persons with disabilities and integrated employment.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.

• Assumes competence and builds esteem in all interactions with IRI people served.
• Implement a normalized community integrated employment focused service and develop integrated work schedules.
• Find integrated work settings and develop competitive employment placement.
• Provide encouragement for meaningful employment related activities to the person served.
• Attend and complete staff development training and trainings as assigned.
• Communicate important updates regarding IRI persons served to supervisor and circle of support.
