Job summary

Seattle Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support certificated teachers by working with individuals or small groups of students across classroom, library, health room, lunchroom, and playground settings.

You will assist with lesson delivery, reinforce English and math concepts, and perform clerical tasks while helping maintain a positive learning environment under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one of the listed education options.
• One year of related paid work experience.
• Valid State of Washington Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups with lesson assignments.
• Administer tests and support teachers in the instructional process.
• Provide clerical support and maintain records.
• Monitor students in various settings to ensure safety and learning.
• Attend meetings and trainings and communicate with teachers/parents.
