Job summary

Seattle Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Assistant/ISE-203 to support students with special needs in regular and self-contained classrooms. You will help implement instruction plans, monitor behavior, and assist in attending IEP meetings.

As an Instructional Assistant, you will work with students across programs, including general education settings, ensuring participation and safety while supporting instructional objectives.

Qualifications

• Adapts classroom activities and materials to support participation of all students.
• Assists in implementing IEP objectives and monitoring progress.
• Maintains and organizes instructional materials and student records.

Responsibilities

• Adapts, under the direction of the teacher, classroom activities for inclusion.
• Administers materials and assignments to assist in evaluating student progress.
• Monitors student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Attends IEP meetings and communicates with teachers/parents.
