Job summary

Center City PCS in Washington, DC seeks an Instructional Assistant or SPED Instructional Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year across PK3-8. You will support lead teachers, monitor progress, and foster inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in designing and preparing instructional materials and implementing daily lessons that engage all learners and fit in with the lead teacher’s long-term learning plan.
• Assist the lead teacher in conducting and organizing ongoing assessments of student performance.
• Deliver academic, social, or behavioral interventions for individual and small groups of students.
• Monitor students in the classroom, hallways, recess, field trips, and other school-related activities.
• Foster an ongoing relationship with families to engage parents and students in academic success.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop classroom goals and ensure effective working relationships.
