Job summary

Advanced Employment Group in California is seeking an Employment Specialist/Job Coach to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in gaining and maintaining competitive employment. You will deliver job training, coaching, workplace accommodations, and ongoing support to employees and employers to ensure tasks are performed accurately and independently.

The role includes travel statewide, a $25 per hour base rate with bonus opportunities, and part-time or full-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• Special Education degree or experience is beneficial.
• Experience working with young adults with IDD preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Background screening and drug testing required.
• Travel statewide with personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• MUST have home computer/tablet, smartphone and reliable internet.
• Advocacy, counseling, job coaching skills.
• Proficient using MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, Webex and Google Meets.

• Develops plans to achieve personal and employment goals.
• Facilitates social interactions between participants and coworkers.
• Models productive behavior and encourages independence.
• Develops constructive relationships with coworkers.
• Supports positive outcomes by building rapport.
• Prepares employees for interviews and develops problem-solving approaches.
• Communicates with AEG staff, employers, and employees.
• Uses various communication methods including meetings, surveys, and online meetings.
• Identifies environmental modifications and assistive technologies.
