Job summary

Advanced Employment Group in San Bruno, CA seeks an Employment Specialist/Job Coach for part-time or full-time capacity. The role provides person-centered support to employees, helps create goal plans, and coordinates travel and transportation as needed.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred), experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency with MS Office, Zoom and related tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Special Education degree or experience; bilingual is beneficial.
• Experience working with young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required for the duration of employment.
• Background screening and drug testing required.
• Travel statewide with mileage reimbursement provided.
• Strong verbal and communication skills are essential.
• Must have a home computer/tablet, smartphone and reliable internet.
• Advocacy, counseling and job coaching skills are required.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, Webex and Google Meet.

• Identifies environmental modifications and assistive technologies as needed.
