Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve as a District-Wide Resource Room Teacher, managing a caseload across multiple elementary buildings. You will provide direct instruction, develop IEP goals, and coordinate with paraeducators and families to support students.

The role requires Michigan Certification with a special education endorsement (ASD/EI/CI preferred), and a strong ability to manage data, records, and collaborative transition services.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Certification with appropriate endorsement for specified subject areas.
• Current Michigan Certification with special education endorsement, ASD, EI, and/or CI preferred.
• Knowledge of modification and accommodations for general education curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction for special education students across multiple elementary buildings.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and behavior plans.
• Maintain and manage special education records and transitions.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and collaborate with staff and community.
