Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking a Resource Room Teacher for Huron Valley Schools with 1.0 FTE status. The role focuses on providing specially designed instruction to students with an IEP and collaborating with staff to meet diverse educational needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement and may have an additional ZG Elementary K-5 endorsement. Start date ASAP, with ongoing responsibilities for IEP-related duties.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
• Endorsement in ZG Elementary K-5 All Subjects preferred.
• Highly Qualified standard under ESSA or certificate/endorsement completion verified by higher education.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction to students with IEPs.
• Progress monitor IEP goals and report data quarterly to families.
• Lead and write IEPs and MDRs in compliance with federal/state/district guidance.
• Collaborate with special education and general education staff to support students in LRE.
• Maintain service and accommodation logs for each caseload student.
• Attend department and school meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
