Save the Children is seeking a Program Aide to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with educational, relational, and social activities. You will assist teachers, manage classroom routines, and help with meals and safety procedures across sites.

Travel to program sites or home visits may be required. The role emphasizes safeguarding children, working in a collaborative team, and maintaining confidentiality.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Certification as applicable by Head Start or childcare regulations, now or as amended.
• Within 90 days of employment, must obtain basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of working with infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsabilidades

• Apply clear practice and procedure in day-to-day execution of job.
• Organize self and manage time to get things done.
• Keep manager informed of important issues.
• Build effective relationships within workgroup and with children/families.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Assist classroom staff in all classroom activities.
• Serve as a substitute in periodic absence of the Assistant Teacher or Teacher.
• Provide custodial support as needed; cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Complete routine kitchen/dining room chores and help with food service tasks.
• Attend required staff and parent meetings and activities.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families and staff.
