Job summary

Nadia Care is seeking a certified Birth Doula to support expectant mothers in the Memphis and greater Nashville area. The role involves two prenatal visits, on-call labor support, and collaboration with the care team to address clinical and social needs, all while maintaining thorough documentation.

The contractor will work 1–4 births per month, set their own schedule, and be compensated per client with benefits and team support available.

Qualifications

• Requires valid doula certification.
• Knowledge of childbirth, non-medical pain management, breastfeeding, mother/baby bonding, and postpartum recovery.
• Excellent communication with clients, families, and medical providers, both virtually and in person.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to manage multiple clients.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and EHR documentation.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation.
• Access to home internet and a phone with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Build initial connection in two virtual prenatal visits and educate clients on labor positions, birth plans, and expectations for Labor & Delivery.
• Be on-call to support clients through active labor.
• Communicate with the care team to escalate clinical issues and social needs from prenatal visits as needed.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of all care interactions.
