Job summary

Nadia Care is seeking a certified Birth Doula to support expectant mothers in Maryland. You will lead two prenatal visits, assist during active labor, and work with our care team to address clinical and social needs.

This contract role offers flexible scheduling and virtual as well as in-person support to clients in the Greater Baltimore area. Compensation is paid per client, with potential to serve multiple births monthly, and includes access to RN support and a collaborative team behind you.

Qualifications

• Valid Doula Certification.
• Active Medicaid provider in Maryland’s ePREP.
• Deep knowledge of childbirth, non-medical pain management, breastfeeding, mother/baby bonding, and postpartum recovery.
• Strong communicator with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with telehealth and EHR documentation.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Access to home internet and a phone with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Build an initial connection in two virtual prenatal visits, educating clients on labor positions, birth plans, and expectations for Labor & Delivery.
• Be on-call to support your clients through active labor.
• Communicate with the care team to elevate clinical issues and social needs from prenatal visits as needed.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of all care interactions.
