Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a contract, full-time school-based Physical Therapist to support PreK–5th grade students near East Waterboro, ME. This role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, families, and educational staff to improve mobility and classroom participation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with current state credentials.
• Experience delivering services in PreK–5th grade school settings.
• Strong background in pediatric/educational environments.
• Familiarity with IEP development, goal setting, and progress documentation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate approach when working with children, families, and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted physical therapy services to students identified via IEPs or referrals.
• Assess, document, and track student progress; collaborate with teachers, aides, and families.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and participation in class activities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for student needs and inform educational planning.
• Educate and support school staff to promote safe physical activity and adaptive environments.
