Qualifications

• Current Maine physical therapist license.
• Current Maine Department of Education CHRC.
• Experience with evaluating school-aged children and data-informed treatment planning.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
• Experience writing evaluation reports and IEP data for treatment planning.
• Ability to provide supervision to PTA.

Responsibilities

• Assess students to determine educational need for physical therapy.
• Participate on IEP teams to set goals and timelines.
• Schedule and deliver PT interventions per IEP.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators and families to support students with disabilities.
• Communicate with physicians and service agencies on orthotics and equipment needs.
• Instruct and supervise classroom staff in transfer techniques and program delivery.
• Monitor progress and provide written reviews.
• Maintain confidential records and timely reporting.
• Order and maintain supplies and stay current with PT practices in education.
