Job summary

RSU 57 is seeking a Physical Therapist to support PreK-5 students district-wide in providing mandated PT services.

Qualifications

• Current Maine physical therapist license.
• Current Maine Department of Education CHRC.
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with evaluating, writing reports, and collecting data for IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Assess students to determine educationally significant need for PT.
• Participate on IEP teams to set goals and timelines.
• Schedule and deliver PT interventions per IEP.
• Consult with teachers, therapists, nurses, and parents on PT needs.
• Communicate with physicians and agencies regarding orthotics and equipment.
• Instruct and supervise staff in safe transfer techniques and programs.
