Pomeroy Recreation and Rehabilitation Center in San Francisco, CA, seeks an Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities reach their employment goals through assessment, training, and job development.

Under the CES Manager, you will conduct assessments, provide vocational education, assist with resumes and interviews, place participants, and offer ongoing coaching in on-site and community settings. This is a full-time role focused on client independence and job success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, vocational rehabilitation, related field; or AA Degree with 2+ years of experience
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or similar settings is preferred
• Willingness to be trained and eagerness to learn
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and email tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Criminal Record Clearance required
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean DMV record

Responsabilités

• Assess social, behavioral, and physical skill levels to identify growth areas in employment goals
• Provide on-site or off-site training and monitor work performance
• Develop and coordinate job opportunities with clients
• Assist with resume building, job searches, applications, and interview practice
• Support clients at work locations as needed under ISP/IHSP/IPE
• Schedule, facilitate, document, and adapt employment services for individuals and groups
• Collaborate with team to use community resources for client growth
• Ensure safety of individuals at center, community, and worksites
• Plan and evaluate social, vocational, self-help/advocacy activities
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed
• Provide physical assistance including transfers and transportation support where required
