Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking an Employment Specialist to plan, develop, and implement employment-related services and life-skills trainings for individuals in our developmental disability programs in Delaware County, Chester.

The role emphasizes empowerment, self-determination, and community integration. The position is part-time hourly, non-exempt, with a billable rate of $30/hour and a non-billable rate of $16/hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Bi-Lingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
• Flexible schedule availability.

Summary of the position:

The Employment Specialist will plan, develop, and implement employment-related services and life skills trainings to support individuals in achieving their goals.

Hourly Rate: $30 per hour billable and $16 per hour non-billable

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required and one year of paid or volunteer experience working with young adults and/or adults or
• College degree with appropriate level of relevant community-based social service experience is preferred
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance are required.
• Bi-Lingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule
