Jackson Lewis P.C. in Reston, VA, is seeking an experienced associate attorney specializing in employment and labor matters.

You will defend and litigate discrimination lawsuits, advise employers, and advocate in court, tribunals, and mediations across a broad range of workplace law issues. Ideal candidates hold a JD from an ABA-accredited school, have 5+ years of employment-law experience, and current Virginia Bar admission.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.

Skills and Educational Requirements

• JD from ABA accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials 5+ years of experience, employment law background strongly preferred.
• Current VA Bar admission in good standing.
• Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

For Virginia, the expected salary range for this position is between $207,500 - $262,500. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
