Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. seeks a skilled employment and labor litigation attorney to join our Charlotte, NC team. The role defends and litigates a broad range of employment-related claims, and provides proactive advice to employers on applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
• 5+ years of litigation experience, employment law background strongly preferred.
• Active NC bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, with ability to work independently on various projects.

Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination.
• Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination

• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases

• Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations

Skills and Educational Requirements:

• 5+ years of litigation experience, employment law background strongly preferred

• Active NC bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly
