Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on FEHA employment litigation including discrimination, harassment and related claims, with opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership development.

The ideal candidate will have a J.D., active California State Bar membership, and 1–3 years (Junior) or 4–6 years (Associate) of FEHA litigation experience, with strong research, writing and courtroom preparation skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience litigating FEHA claims on behalf of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in FEHA litigation from pre-litigation through settlement or trial.
  • Handle discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and disability accommodation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
  • Prepare for and take depositions, including defending client depositions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients on case strategy and execution.
  • Independently handle court appearances, mediations, and tactical tasks.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Support leadership in advancing complex employment litigation matters.

Duties
  • Assist in prosecuting FEHA matters from pre-litigation through settlement or trial.

Requirements
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active and good-standing membership with the California State Bar.
  • Strong experience as an Employment Attorney litigating FEHA claims on behalf of employees.
  • 1-3 years of experience for Junior Associate Attorney.
  • 4-6 years of experience for Associate Attorney.
  • Experience handling discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, disability accommodation, interactive process, and leave-related matters.
Education
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
Certifications
  • Active membership with the California State Bar.
