Ascendion is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney in West Hollywood to handle meaningful single-plaintiff FEHA matters within a sophisticated employment practice. You will manage cases from inception through resolution and contribute to strategy on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

The ideal candidate has extensive litigation, writing, research, and oral advocacy skills, with a strong track record in FEHA and employment law.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Significant experience handling single-plaintiff FEHA and employment law matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage and litigate single-plaintiff employment matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle FEHA, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related claims.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and trial prep.

A well-established and growing plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with meaningful experience handling single-plaintiff FEHA matters to join its team in West Hollywood.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment attorney who wants to take on a significant role in a sophisticated plaintiff-side practice and work on meaningful cases involving workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment-related claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage and litigate single-plaintiff employment matters from inception through resolution
• Handle cases involving FEHA, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related employment claims
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic legal advice
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to develop effective case strategies

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing
• Significant experience handling single-plaintiff FEHA and employment law matters
• Strong litigation, writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage cases and take ownership of matters
• Excellent judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail
