Job summary

Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission is seeking a detail‑oriented administrator to help ensure employers comply with Maryland workers' compensation laws. You will work with the Director to enhance the proof of coverage program and review Exclusion forms for acceptance and submission.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years in administrative roles, with preferred experience in databases, data matching, Word and Excel, and technical writing coursework.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred as an asset.
  • Experience with databases and data matching is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel including data import and mail merge.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and run data matches with WCC and MDL data to identify employers with uninsured or non-compliant coverage.
  • Draft letters to identified employers and monitor responses.
  • Assist with monthly correspondence to employers who cancelled insurance.
  • Coordinate with NCCI data to identify employers to contact regarding cancellations.
  • Answer questions from employers and provide guidance on forms and procedures.
  • Support enforcement activities with the Employer Compliance Lead.
