Qualifications

  • Planning, administering, evaluating, and coordinating Workers' Compensation program activities.
  • Analyzing and resolving complex Workers' Compensation cases involving FECA/OWCP.
  • Managing cases to facilitate medical treatment, rehabilitation, or resolution while minimizing lost work time and costs.
  • Providing technical guidance on Workers' Compensation requirements and case management.
  • Reviewing policies and practices to improve program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex Workers' Compensation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate Workers' Compensation program activities.
  • Resolve complex cases involving medical, legal, and regulatory issues under FECA/OWCP.
  • Manage cases to ensure appropriate medical treatment and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Provide guidance to staff on case management and resolution strategies.
  • Review policies to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with labor departments, HR, contractors, medical providers, and attorneys.
