Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms seeks a trainer/ probation monitor to oversee the progress of new hires during training. The role conducts job previews for hourly applicants and collaborates with leaders to identify training needs in the production department.

You will work with supervisors and HR to communicate job expectations, teach safety and tasks, and promote team recognition. Non-standard hours may be required to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• English communication required; additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer and math skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review the progress of employees through feedback meetings and discussions with supervisors and identify training needs within the production department.
• Help line leaders and supervisors solve training problems; either in a one-on-one basis or in groups.
• Schedule job previews for hourly applicants with HR support; explain all facets of the position to ensure applicants understand the physical requirements and environment.
• Instruct employees about exercise activities designed to improve strength, endurance, and the hardening process within the first three days of employment.
• Promote employee recognition throughout the production department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
