Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Georgia is seeking a Training Coordinator to monitor probationary employees during training and conduct job previews for hourly applicants. The role helps identify training needs through discussions with production leaders and supports continuous learning in the department.

Qualifications

Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Primarily responsible to monitor and review the progress of probationary employees throughout the training process. This role will conduct job previews for hourly applicants and may help identify training needs through discussions with leaders.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS


  • Monitor and review the progress of employees through feedback meetings and discussions with supervisors and, based on these meetings, identify employee training and development needs within the production department

  • Help line leaders and supervisors solve specific training problems; either in a one-on-one basis or in groups

  • Partner with HR Coordinator or Recruiter to schedule job preview for hourly applicants; explain all facets of position for the applicants to ensure they understand the physical requirements, environment, etc. during the job preview process

  • Instruct employees about exercise activities designed to improve strength, endurance, and the hardening process within the first three days of employment

  • Promote employee recognition throughout the production department

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


  • Ability to communicate and comprehend English

  • ability to communicate in two or more languages preferred

  • Ability to engage employees and communicate job tasks in a comprehensive manner

  • Basic computer and math skills


SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work in a hot or cold and wet environment Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift Ability to work non-standard hours (holidays, weekends and extended shifts) as needed
