Job summary

GainRep seeks an Employee Relations Specialist to guide department heads and supervisors on performance, conduct, and workplace concerns in Norwalk, CA. You will apply personnel rules, city policies, and collective bargaining agreements while ensuring fair, compliant practices.

You will investigate complex issues, support grievance handling, and foster positive relationships with employees and leaders, under CHRO direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, or a closely related field.
• Four (4) years of professional human resources or employee relations experience, or a Master’s degree with two (2) years of experience.
• SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advises departments on performance, conduct, and workplace concerns and policy application.
• Investigates and resolves employee complaints, grievances, and related matters.
• Maintains confidential records and supports policy implementation and training.
