Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to help create an engaging and inclusive work environment in Knoxville, TN.

You will serve as the initial contact for intake of employee concerns, interview staff, and assist with investigations and HR plans. In this role, you will advise management and employees to reach amicable resolutions, apply knowledge of applicable laws, and support policies, performance reviews, and benefits administration while partnering with leaders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
• Four years of professional HR administration experience, including two years in employee relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the initial contact for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
• Conducts interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters; informs HR staff as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, unions, and HR practices.
• Assists with plans, policies, documents, and reports including EEO-1 and employee handbooks.
• Advises management and involved parties to reach fair, amicable resolutions.
