Job summary

Mercy House in Santa Ana, CA is hiring an Employee Relations Specialist for a full-time, non-exempt role paying $25.00–$26.00 per hour. The position reports to the HR Supervisor and requires occasional travel to Mercy House regions.

You will advise management and employees on employee relations issues, investigate complaints, and ensure compliance with ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and EEO. Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in employee relations, HR, or related field.
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and EEO.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees and management.

• Investigate and resolve complaints related to workplace conflicts, harassment, discrimination, and other matters.
• Conduct employee relations training for management and staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

• Manage the employee grievance process and conduct investigations.
• Analyze and report on employee relations trends and recommend improvements.
