Job description

Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting career opportunity for an Employee Relations Representative to leverage your strong investigation, performance management, and employee relations knowledge and skills, as well as data analytics and program management capabilities. You will provide a wide range of ER support to our global employee client-base in a key role on a people-focused ER team. You will work closely with our high-performing global ER team, Nutanix’s talented People Business Partners, In-House Employment Counsel, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure we deliver in our Core Values and Culture Principles.

About the Team

At Nutanix, you will have the opportunity to join the Employee Relations team, a group of passionate professionals dedicated to fostering a positive work environment. The team is geographically dispersed but maintains a strong sense of collaboration and camaraderie. You can expect your colleagues to be supportive, willing to share knowledge, and eager to help one another succeed.

You will report to the Employee Relations Director, a seasoned leader who values open communication, professional development, and a strong work ethic. As part of the Employee Relations team, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, with the option to go into the office as needed. Nutanix promotes a healthy work-life balance, emphasizing results over face time in the office.

Additionally, the role may include travel requirements on an as-needed basis, such as visiting other Nutanix offices or attending employee relations-related events or meetings. While travel is not a primary component, the willingness to travel occasionally is beneficial for building relationships and understanding different work environments within the company.

Your Role
  1. Conduct workplace investigations independently or under guidance, including interviews, preparing findings, closing documentation, and making remediation recommendations.
  2. Partner with People Business Partners, Legal, Benefits, and other stakeholders to manage routine employee relations matters, including LOAs, Immigration, mediation, and performance management.
  3. Interpret and apply Nutanix’s policies, procedures, Core Values, and Code of Business Conduct to workplace concerns.
  4. Function as an ER Data Subject Matter Expert, designing, implementing, and maintaining ER case management tools, dashboards, and reports.
  5. Collect and analyze ER data for metrics reporting, identify trends, and recommend data-driven process or program improvements.
  6. Build and implement ER process improvements based on best practices, deploying them within the global ER team and to stakeholders.
  7. Support ER/HR enablement training through designing and delivering presentations.
  8. Participate in special projects or ER programs, such as implementing ER case tracking systems, supporting affirmative action reporting, and delivering training.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, with a strong interest in employee relations or employment law.
  • At least 3 years HR experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience as a HR Generalist, ER Analyst, or similar, especially in hi-tech environments.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into meaningful outputs.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, particularly in end-to-end processes.
  • High productivity and quality in work output.
  • Knowledge of corrective action, investigative best practices, and labor laws, including managing leaves and workplace accommodations.
  • Understanding of labor laws, immigration, and leave of absence/disability accommodations is highly desirable.
  • 1-2 years experience creating data analytic tools, analyzing data, and reporting, with familiarity with ER case management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, HR Acuity) and Tableau preferred.
  • Effective multitasking and deadline management skills.
  • Resourcefulness and quick thinking in ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office tools (Microsoft Office, Slack, Outlook, Excel, Google Docs, Workday, Zoom).
  • Experience setting up large meetings/webinars using Zoom features is highly desired.
  • Experience in Global ER Partnership is preferred and will be nurtured in this role.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • This role can be hybrid or remote.

The pay range at start is USD $83,840 to $168,120 annually, with compensation depending on various factors. Benefits include medical, financial, and other perks, with details provided upon offer. This is an at-will employment position, and the company reserves the right to modify compensation and benefits. The application deadline is 40 days from posting, but the posting may be removed earlier if filled.
