Job description

Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting career opportunity for an Employee Relations Representative to leverage your strong investigation, performance management, and employee relations knowledge and skills, as well as data analytics and program management capabilities. You will provide a wide range of ER support to our global employee client-base in a key role on a people-focused ER team. You will work closely with our high-performing global ER team, Nutanix’s talented People Business Partners, In-House Employment Counsel, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure we deliver in our Core Values and Culture Principles.

About the Team

At Nutanix, you will join the Employee Relations team, a group of passionate professionals dedicated to fostering a positive work environment. The team is geographically dispersed but maintains a strong sense of collaboration and camaraderie. You can expect your colleagues to be supportive, willing to share knowledge, and eager to help one another succeed.

You will report to the Employee Relations Director, a seasoned leader who values open communication, professional development, and a strong work ethic. The role offers the flexibility to work remotely with the option to go into the office as needed. Nutanix promotes a healthy work-life balance, emphasizing results over face time in the office.

The role may include travel on an as-needed basis, such as visiting other Nutanix offices or attending employee relations-related events. Although travel is not primary, willingness to travel occasionally is beneficial for relationship building and understanding different work environments within the company.

Your Role
  1. Conduct workplace investigations independently or under guidance, including interviews, preparing findings, and making recommendations for remediation.
  2. Partner with People Business Partners, Legal, Benefits, and other stakeholders to manage routine employee relations matters such as LOAs, immigration, mediation, and performance management.
  3. Interpret and apply Nutanix’s policies, Core Values, and Code of Business Conduct to workplace concerns.
  4. Function as an ER Data Subject Matter Expert, designing, implementing, and maintaining ER case management tools, dashboards, and reports.
  5. Collect and analyze ER data for reporting, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  6. Build and implement ER process improvements based on best practices, deploying within the global ER team and to stakeholders.
  7. Support ER/HR training through presentation design and delivery.
  8. Work on special projects such as ER system implementation, affirmative action reporting, and enablement training.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, with interest or emphasis in employee relations or employment law.
  • Minimum of 3 years HR experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience as a HR Generalist, ER Analyst, or similar in a high-tech environment is highly desired.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into meaningful output.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, especially in end-to-end processes.
  • High productivity and quality output.
  • Knowledge of corrective action, investigative best practices, labor laws, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodations.
  • Understanding of labor laws, immigration, and disability accommodations is highly desired.
  • 1-2 years experience with data analytics tools, ER case management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, HR Acuity), and Tableau.
  • Effective multitasking and meeting deadlines with strong program and time management skills.
  • Resourcefulness and quick thinking.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in office tools like Microsoft Office, Slack, Outlook, Excel, Google Docs, Workday, Zoom.
  • Experience setting up large meetings/webinars via Zoom, including polls and breakout rooms, is highly desired.
  • Experience in Global ER Partnership is preferred and will be nurtured.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • This position can be hybrid or remote.
  • The salary range at start is USD $83,840 to $168,120 annually, with potential variations based on individual factors. Compensation may include bonuses, stock units, and other benefits, which will be detailed upon offer. The position is at-will, with the company reserving the right to modify compensation and benefits. The application deadline is 40 days from posting, but the posting may close earlier if the role is filled.
