Job description

Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting career opportunity for an Employee Relations Representative to leverage your strong investigation, performance management, and employee relations knowledge and skills, as well as data analytics and program management capabilities. You will provide a wide range of ER support to our global employee client-base in a key role on a people-focused ER team. You will work closely with our high-performing global ER team, Nutanix’s talented People Business Partners, In-House Employment Counsel, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure we deliver on our Core Values and Culture Principles.

About the Team

At Nutanix, you will join the Employee Relations team, a group of passionate professionals dedicated to fostering a positive work environment. The team is geographically dispersed but maintains a strong sense of collaboration and camaraderie. You can expect your colleagues to be supportive, willing to share knowledge, and eager to help one another succeed.

You will report to the Employee Relations Director, a seasoned leader who values open communication, professional development, and a strong work ethic. As part of the Employee Relations team, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, with the option to go into the office as needed. Nutanix promotes a healthy work-life balance, emphasizing results over face time in the office.

Additionally, the role may include travel requirements on an as-needed basis, involving visits to other Nutanix offices or attendance at employee relations-related events or meetings. Although travel is not a primary component, a willingness to travel occasionally is beneficial for relationship building and understanding different work environments within the company.

Your Role
  1. Conduct workplace investigations independently or under the guidance of ER Managers and/or Employment Counsel; including interviews, findings, closing documentation, and remediation recommendations.
  2. Partner with People Business Partners, Legal, Benefits, and other stakeholders to manage routine employee relations matters, including LOAs, Immigration, mediation, and performance management.
  3. Interpret and apply Nutanix’s policies, procedures, Core Values, and Code of Business Conduct to workplace concerns.
  4. Function as an ER Data Subject Matter Expert, designing, implementing, and maintaining ER case management tools, dashboards, and reports.
  5. Collect and analyze ER data for metrics reporting, identifying trends, and recommending data-driven process improvements.
  6. Build and implement ER process improvements based on best practices, deploying them within the global ER team and to stakeholders.
  7. Support ER/HR enablement training through the design and delivery of presentations.
  8. Work on special projects such as ER system implementation, affirmative action reporting, and enablement training.
What You Will Bring
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, with a strong interest in employee relations or employment law.
  2. Minimum of 3 years HR experience or equivalent education and experience.
  3. Experience as a HR Generalist, ER Analyst, or similar in hi-tech is highly desired.
  4. Ability to synthesize complex information into meaningful insights.
  5. Strong critical thinking skills related to end-to-end processes.
  6. High productivity and quality output.
  7. Knowledge of corrective action, investigative best practices, and labor laws.
  8. Understanding of immigration, leave of absences, and workplace accommodations is highly desired.
  9. 1-2 years experience with data analytics tools, ER case management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, HR Acuity), and Tableau.
  10. Effective multitasking and deadline management skills.
  11. Resourcefulness and quick thinking.
  12. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Slack, Outlook, Google Docs, Workday, Zoom, and webinar setup.
  14. Experience in Global ER Partnership is preferred.
  15. Willingness to travel as needed.
  16. Flexibility to work flexible hours.
  17. This position can be hybrid or remote.

The pay range at start is USD $83,840 to $168,120 annually. Compensation may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and experience, and may include bonuses, stock units, and benefits. Details will be provided upon offer.

Employment is at-will, with the company reserving the right to modify compensation and benefits. The application deadline is 40 days from posting, but may be extended or the posting removed earlier if the position is filled.
