Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to provide consistent HR consultation to managers and employees, investigating issues and advising on disciplinary actions, terminations, and policy interpretation. The role monitors trends and collaborates with HRBPs to mitigate legal risk.

The position partners with operations, legal teams, and COEs to implement proactive solutions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Travel is required within the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in HR, Organizational Management, Law or equivalent; or 4+ years experience.
• 5+ years in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations.
• MS Office proficiency, intermediate.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct local HR investigations, develop investigation plans, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Provide policy interpretation to supervisors on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Partner with operations, labor relations, legal, and HRBPs to create solutions for complex Employee Relations cases.
• Deliver high-quality HR support through performance management, legal compliance, and union provisions where applicable.
