$33.00/hr - $34.50/hr

Job Details
  • Job Title: Employee Relations / HR Consultant
  • Job Duration: 7 months contract
  • Job Location: Remote opportunity for East coast candidates; St. Petersburg, FL candidates preferred
  • Laptop provided
  • Potential for extension or conversion based on performance and attendance
  • Work hours: 8 AM-5 PM or 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Duties and Must Haves
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience
  • Knowledge of labor laws including ADA and FLSA
  • Experience with HR disciplinary reporting and documentation
  • Familiarity with hourly pay employee performance management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Workday experience preferred
Role Overview

Under the supervision of the HR Business Partner and Director, the Employee Relations Consultant will perform professional HR duties focused on Employee Relations. Responsibilities include supporting leaders and employees with conflict resolution, performance management, and developing disciplinary and performance documentation for a high-volume, non-exempt organization, ensuring compliance with company policies and laws.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers on employee relations issues
  • Investigate and recommend actions for employee complaints and concerns
  • Guide leaders on progressive discipline processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Maintain confidential records of employee relations cases and report trends
  • Identify employment risks and collaborate with managers accordingly
  • Advise on company policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Understanding of HR principles, employment law, and policies
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Proactive in keeping stakeholders informed
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior Studies, or related field, plus at least 3 years HR generalist experience
