Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking a Human Resources leader to direct the Team Member relations function. You will establish open communication with Team Members, counsel management on disputes, and administer disciplinary processes with confidentiality at the core.

You will develop relations and recognition programs, report on Team Member issues, and ensure policy consistency while aligning HR activities with business goals at Boyd Gaming.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years HR experience focused on Team Member relations.
• Solid leadership and business understanding of HR impact on bottom line performance.
• Extensive knowledge in HR legal compliance, Team Member relations, culture and communications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Team Member relations function.
• Establishes and maintains open communication channels with Team Members.
• Counsels and advises Team Members and management to resolve work-related disputes.
• Advises management on discipline and termination related matters.
• Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures regarding disciplinary matters.
• Serves as the Team Member advocate and may report issues to HR Director/senior management.
• Administers the Employee Disciplinary Review Committee program; investigates and represents Team Members during the review.
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality.
• Develops and implements Team Member relations and communication programs, Team Member activities and Team Member recognition programs.
• Spends approximately 25% to 50% of time in direct interaction with Team Members.
• Provides the HR Director with weekly and monthly reports of Team Member-related issues.
