Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to guide employee relations, employment, training and benefits at our King of Prussia property. The role involves shaping HR strategy, overseeing recruitment with corporate Talent Acquisition, and ensuring effective policy administration.

You will lead leadership training, manage performance evaluations and onboarding, guarantee compliance with federal, state and local laws, and partner with management to align HR

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field.
  • Three years of human resource experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to work with and interact with all levels of team members.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office application skills.
  • Knowledge in HR legal compliance, employee relations, culture and communications.
  • Prior training experience
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Hospitality and/or gaming experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide input regarding the direction of the Human Resources functions of employee relations, employment, training and benefit activities.
  • Conduct and develop leadership level training.
  • Supports the recruitment effort for all team members; works closely with corporate Talent Acquisition to ensure best hiring practices are in place; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates.
  • Manages the administration of the annual Team Member Opinion Survey and supporting action plan activities for corporate and shared service team members
  • Ensure all departments are supported through development and implementation of new procedures for the effective operation of the Human Resources department.
  • Administer and communicate company policies, procedures and programs.
  • Promote effective communication between employees and management.
  • Coordinate activities to meet the training needs of the property
  • Managers the performance evaluation process and all components of the talent management cycle
  • Review and advise management staff on matters dealing with performance and conduct issues, employee relations, including labor issues.
  • Participates in developing engagement and human resource goals, objectives and systems for the corporate office and shared service functions.
  • Manages the onboarding process for new team members; conducts orientation as required.
  • Advises management team regarding discipline and termination related matters.
  • Participates in HR and departmental staff meetings as required.
  • Maintains and updates appropriate organizational charts.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.

  • Able to work 5 days a week onsite. This position is not hybrid. Flexible to work weekends and other shifts for team engagement events.
