Pima County’s Human Resources Department is seeking an Employee Relations Compliance Officer to serve as a trusted resource for employees, supervisors, and County leadership. You will investigate misconduct, maintain fair and compliant employment practices, and help strengthen workplace culture across a diverse public service organization.

The role emphasizes confidential investigations, training support, and testimony in hearings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources, public administration, counseling, industrial psychology or related field.
• Two years of professional level human resources experience including interpreting/applying employment laws, writing reports, coaching and training.
• Alternatively, five years of experience with Pima County in HR responsibilities and policy interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Documents complaints, witness statements, and collects relevant evidence.
• Conducts investigations into allegations of misconduct, discrimination, harassment or retaliation and grievances.
• Prepares confidential reports, analyzes evidence, and identifies policy violations.
• Participates in training for employees and management.
• Testifies in hearings and interprets employment laws and policies in the workplace.
• Provides coaching and feedback to employees and management on performance and discipline.
