Financial-Statement-Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Application Development team at the Orlando, FL facility, with option for a hybrid schedule after an initial onsite training period.

The role focuses on full stack development using .NET technologies, RESTful APIs, and document composition tools to generate client output and support production workflows. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in software engineering, a strong C# foundation, and familiarity with SQL Server,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 1–2 years of software engineering, full stack development, API development or document composition experience.
• Strong foundation in C#, object-oriented programming and modern .NET development.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC and Web API development concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and data-access technologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requests and identify required updates to applications or templates.
• Lead discussions with internal stakeholders and clients to design and implement robust applications and templates.
• Interpret structured input data and understand record layouts and data relationships.
• Perform data mapping aligned with client and output specifications.
• Develop, update, and maintain C# applications using .NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Design, develop, consume, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and JSON-based integrations using ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Work with SQL Server, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access via ORM likeEF Core.
• Modify and maintain templates using OpenText Exstream or Quadient Inspire.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code with SOLID and DI principles.
• Submit Git merge requests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps on CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, and validation.
• Use automated testing with xUnit/NUnit or equivalent.
• Participate in cloud development with AWS and Docker; support production fixes.
• Ensure changes align with FSSI standards and best practices.
• Develop integrations with internal code, RESTful APIs, web services, databases, and third-party services.
• Apply USPS mailing requirements and print production standards.
