Job summary

Homeland Stores is seeking an Assistant Front-End Manager who will lead front-end operations and ensure top-tier customer service. You will supervise cashiers, manage scheduling, and uphold store policies in a fast-paced environment.

You will train new associates, monitor service levels, and collaborate with store management to optimize checkout efficiency, safety, and overall store presentation. Strong leadership and communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience as cashier is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, supervise greeting, respond to questions, and explain store policies courteously.
• Oversee hiring, discipline, promotion, and evaluation of front-end staff.
• Train new front-end associates and retrain as needed.
• Develop weekly labor schedules for front-end employees.
• Ensure safety of customers and staff by following store rules and reporting hazards.
• Operate and manage cash register, scanner, scale, and intercom systems.
