Job summary

Homeland is seeking an Assistant Front-End Manager in Guthrie, OK to lead front-end staff and deliver exceptional customer service. You will supervise cashiers, handle scheduling, train new associates, and ensure accurate checkout and safety procedures in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Prior cashier experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and supervise customer greeting and address questions/requests/complaints.
• Initiate and approve hiring, discipline, promotion, and evaluation of front-end staff.
• Orient/train new front-end associates and retrain when necessary.
• Develop weekly labor schedule with store manager for front-end employees.
• Ensure safety of self, customers, and co-workers and report hazards.
• Bag customer purchases quickly and correctly.
• Operate electronic cash register, scanner, scale, and intercom system.
• Monitor front-end service and call for additional help or open express lanes as needed.
• Authorize cash draws, refunds and voids as required.
• Supervise checkout and bagging of purchases and movement to customer car.
• Return go-backs to proper location and restock bag-stand areas and carts.
• Ensure opening/closing accounting procedures are followed.
• Keep front-end staff informed about new produce items and policies.
• Prevent loss by proper cash handling and price checks.
