Responsibilities

• Greet and supervise front-end staff, respond to customer questions and explain store policies with courtesy.
• Initiate and/or make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, promotion and evaluation of front-end personnel.
• Develop weekly labor schedules for front-end employees with store manager approval.
• Ensure cashier operation and checkout accuracy, including handling coupons, EBT, and payments as per policy.
• Supervise/perform checkout and proper bagging of customer purchases and movement of bags to customer cars.
• Ensure front-end safety, compliance with store rules, and report hazards promptly.
• Monitor front-end service levels and call for additional help or express lanes when needed.
