Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group, Shelby Township, MI, seeks Assembly Associates to support daily plant assembly operations. You will apply Lean manufacturing principles and participate in waste-elimination efforts to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating assembly machinery under operator instructions, inspecting parts for quality, recording production data, and using SAP handheld tools to print labels. Relevant high school education required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with SAP handheld scanners.
• Understanding of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings.
• Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives.
• Operate various assembly machinery within the secondary operations per operator instructions.
• Visually look over parts to assure proper quality, uses gauges as requires, per Control Plan/Quality check sheet.
• Responsible for quality of all production parts produced in their respective work cell.
• Reporting any quality defects to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Completing and updating all paperwork on a daily basis (production reports, PPLH, scrap reports, 5"S" housekeeping, etc.).
• Scanning and printing SAP product labels.
