Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Business Unit Leader to manage shift teams in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment in Warren, MI. The role emphasizes safety, quality, cost control, and on-time delivery while building capable teams and driving continuous improvement.

You will coordinate activities to meet business metrics, participate in SIS programs, and lead cross-functional teams in problem solving and throughput improvements. A robust supervisory background in manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in operations management in a high-volume environment, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members.
• Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team.
• Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage work teams in a fast paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ensure safety, quality, cost, and delivery during the shift.
• Build functional teams, train and allocate manpower.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve product quality and throughput.
• Coordinate all activities to achieve business metrics and SIS initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams in daily activities, problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Ensure production targets are achieved and manage budget and forecasts.
• Maintain documented processes and ensure adherence to standards.
