Job summary

I & S Group, Inc. in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Civil Engineer specialized in Surface Water to join our Water Business Unit. You will collaborate with internal resources to design and coordinate stormwater solutions, from concept through construction, supporting rural surface water projects.

The role requires a PE licensure, 5–10 years of surface water experience, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time on-site position with employee-owner benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or bioproducts and bio-systems engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, required.
• 5-10 years of experience in Surface Water industry.
• Ability to travel to various job sites and ISG office locations.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Self-directed, organized and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement stormwater management plans and reports.
• Design and oversee construction of stormwater infrastructure.
• Model with software including XPSWMM, PCSWMM, Infoworks ICM, HydroCAD, Hec-RAS, Hec-HMS.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and change orders during construction.
• Coordinate environmental studies, permitting, and analysis.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to predict stormwater behavior.
• Provide QA/QC on drawings and documents using AutoCAD, Civil3D and ESRI ArcGIS.
