Job summary

EMH&T, Inc. is seeking a motivated recent graduate to join the Water Resources team in Columbus, OH.

You will support planning, analysis, design, and permitting of stormwater, floodplain, and watershed projects under supervision of experienced engineers. Responsibilities include developing hydraulics/hydraulics calculations, preparing reports and permit applications, and using HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and GIS to inform project solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hydrology, engineering (civil, mechanical or agricultural engineering), or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in preparation of stormwater management plans, hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, drainage studies, environmental-based studies and flood risk assessments.
• Provide engineering support for planning, analysis, and design of stormwater and floodplain management projects for private development and public infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, exhibits, and permit applications, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and FEMA map change applications.
• Conduct analysis and design of detention and post-construction water quality facilities per local/state guidelines.
• Use GIS to demonstrate study results and AutoCAD to demonstrate design solutions.
