Job summary

EMH&T, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Engineer, PE for our Columbus, OH office to lead and grow our water resources and stormwater projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 4–8 years of experience in water resources engineering, stormwater management, and floodplain management.
  • Strong technical report writing ability.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS for design, analysis, and floodplain studies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, analysis, design, calculations, and delivery of water resources and stormwater projects.
  • Work independently and in teams with engineering professionals.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for watersheds, streams, and stormwater systems.
  • Prepare flood risk assessments, drainage studies, and watershed master plans.
  • Lead or support proposal development including scope, approach, staffing, schedules, and estimates.
  • Develop FEMA floodplain mapping studies and related documentation.
  • Design stormwater systems including detention, retention, conveyance, and green infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with FEMA, USACE, EPA, and state agencies.
  • Perform field assessments and document technical findings.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, QC, and client communications.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
