Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus.
• PA Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible structural design and project management experience.
• Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood building structures.
• Strong understanding of applicable building codes and ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects from proposal through final design and construction support.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial, institutional, industrial, and public-sector building projects.
• Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes.
• Develop structural designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Mentor and supervise structural engineers, EITs, and technical staff.
• Review and seal engineering documents, calculations, and plans as appropriate.
• Participate in business development activities, including client relationship management and project interviews.
• Support quality control initiatives and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Assist with strategic growth initiatives within the Scranton market.
